AYE MYAT THU, MYANMAR SUPER MODEL

Hello! don't you think she is beautiful? And she is non other than AYE MYAT THU..
Though I don't have the chance yet to see any shows featuring her, I really think that she got what it takes to be a model.
Well I post it for Myanmar People abroad who lost touch on everything Myanmar and as well as for friends who got no glue how Myanmar girls are like.
I have seen a few photos of models and think she is one of the topmost beauties I can say. She maintain her figure well till to date or maybe she is just photogenic. As you might notice most of the girls started off fresh, sexy then become movie stars. The more successful they are the more chubbier( fatter if say bluntly) they become. No more maintenance. She is just superb. Well I am not complaining. Just wish she could travel far to a much more rewarding models play-grounds like Bangkok,Singapore and Hong Kong and be successful regionally then internationally.
You may say she lacks some star qualities behind regional super models? Well there is always a place for someone different and fresh for the scene I think.

In these pictures, she showcased the Myanmar designer Khin Yupar Lwin's works.

Well this is modern Myanmar Girls fashion and way ahead or far out of traditional, daily dresses. You won't see much of this kind of dressing on the streets. Most of the Myanmar Girls still wear wrap-around long-gyi (Sarong).

BLOOD DIAMONDS.....

A very good movie that I never expected to be this good! The Casts! The Story! The scenery are all perfect!DiCaprio's portrayal of Danny Archer, a soldier turned soldier of fortune. Jennifer Connelly of American journalist, the reporter and Djimon Hounsou as a fisherman..! What can I say? I couldn't have enough! The bitterness flows through my heart. The beautiful scenery driving me to the tour agencies' doors to book a ticket to Africa(or the places of the sets). I felt the loves!!Well all at the same times while watching this movie.
And being once a miner myself deep in the jungle far north Myanmar's very own Jade Mines, you guess! how this movie would be so special to me..Along with the Archer and Solomon, the whole week I was thinking and wondering about Dee Rum, Hong Hkong, my dear comrades, the miners and how they are doing? I have always wanted to write about my experience in the jade land but whenever I tried to start the story I felt mentally draining and lost in translation emotionally hence never been able to materialize the story.

Visit Warners Brothers for more details about the movies. You will be amazed to realize there are so much more behind the movies. Reading them would entertain you as much as the movie does.

Director/producer Edward says......

"To me, this movie is about what is valuable,"

"To one person, it might be a stone; to someone else, a story in a magazine; to another, it is a child. The juxtaposition of one man obsessed with finding a valuable diamond with another man risking his life to find his son is the beating heart of this film."

"These two men set off on a journey, one with the intent of getting off the continent, the other with the intent of getting his family back," notes Leonardo DiCaprio, who stars as Danny Archer. "But each character ends up struggling with his own moral decisions."

Djimon Hounsou, who stars as Solomon Vandy, sums it up: "Archer is pursuing a diamond, but Solomon's diamond is his son."

The world sees diamonds as sparkling, beautiful and highly prized. They are symbols of love and fidelity, affluence and glamour. But in the African country of Sierra Leone, where many of the world's diamonds are mined, they have taken on a much darker connotation.

Zwick explains, "‘Conflict diamonds' are stones that have been smuggled out of countries at war. They then go to pay for more arms, increasing the death toll and furthering the destruction of the region. They may be a small percentage of the world's sales, but, nonetheless, in an industry worth billions of dollars, even a small percentage is worth many millions and can buy innumerable small arms. In the late 1990s, people from such NGOs as Global Witness, Partnership Africa-Canada and Amnesty International gave them a name in order to help bring the crisis into the public consciousness:
-----------------

Myanmar Jade, Ruby travelled far too and still travelling over the land across borders. Are they free of conflict? Are they free of blood? I wonder who might want to share? I have my own story and if I could have yours who knows we might have a good story in the making!!

DARK DINNER! ANYONE....

Fancy dining in total darkness? Well not for me though.

You wanna got the feel of being blind? Not in this way.

Just last week, there was a restaurant-CLINIC- opened its door for diners in Singapore where you can sit on wheel chairs and eat the food served on surgical bench and if I am not wrong, chili and ketchup from drips...Uh... yup waitresses dressed like nurses. Gosh! what the hell I was... like...thinking.. and still yet not over... now...

Dine in a complete darkness, listening to ghost stories... Isn't it crazy?

WHAT TIME IS IT? TIGER TIME......

Needless to say I am a Singapore based blogger huh! Trying to promote world renown Singapore Beer? Na...and but in a way.. haha

Actually man! here we are talking the one and only TIGER WOODS soon-to-be the first world sports' billion dollars man as predicted by Golf Digest.
We are not going to talk about what Woods's golf aspirations. Nor anything about his win after win of the tournament, or birdie, putting. We will leave to Golf Journals and Professionals. And we will see what are his off the Course aspiration and activities and sundries.

The man who lives by the golf course and rejected a coveted Hollywood role. When shooting a golf game with motion-capture session by Robert Luketic, a Hollywood veteran. When it was over,Luketic said,

--------------Courtesy of Men's Vogue-----------------

"Man, that was good. I want to talk about a big Hollywood role. Your agent's got the contract and the script."

Woods said, "No, I want a green coat, not that other thing."

"You want a what?"

"A green coat. It's what you get when you win the Masters."

Luketic shook his head. "I've met everybody in Hollywood," he said, "and I've been more intimidated meeting you than anyone else. I didn't sleep all night last night."

"Because you were out all night," Woods said, smiling.

Luketic said, "Tiger Woods is so Zen. You just watch this man who's in control, and I'm, like—I'm a mess, I'm a director, I'm shouting and going crazy."

"We do that, too," Woods said. "We just do it internally. It's like playing poker."

"Well, it's been a pleasure and an honor."

"Now can I go to the bathroom?"
-------------------------------------------- I am sure he got the look. Don't you agree? Acting wise, maybe he knows himself what he is good at doing. But from this short conversation, I say he is not attention seeker. Maybe got all it enough. Do you think this is a form affirmation that he doesn't prefer the lime light but just a down-to-earth bloke?

When asked What's the biggest thing he's had to sacrifice for his golf?

Woods said, "Anonymity." Remember, in 2004, he took the company to the court that built his yacht -Privacy- for violating a confidentiality agreement by providing photographs and other details to the press?.

He tries to live a normal life. He and his wife Elin go to movies, eat in restaurants, and shop at the grocery store. Woods still keeps up with childhood friends, whom he refers to as "my boys"; He still receives extra security at golf tournaments, but he doesn't have a bodyguard or an entourage, and he does all his own driving and pumps his own gas.

Of course, being Tiger Woods there are limits to normality. It's amusing to read how his scheduled calendar has four seasons: Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA Championship. And see how he describes his milestones and measures time. Boys! in tournaments.

"Elin and I met at British Open of 2001. We started going out at Target World, and she moved in at Bay Hill of '02." They were married, in Barbados, two days after Amex of '04. haha..

He and Elin are living in Windermere, a suburb of Orlando, in a gated golf community called Isleworth Country Club. Their house—Florida stucco- red tile roof—is relatively modest in comparison with many at Isleworth, and is directly across the street from the driving range.

"There are a lot of divorces at Isleworth," Nevertheless, decided to move.

In January, they bought a ten-acre compound on Jupiter Island, off Florida's east coast, for $38 million, a small price for Woods, who made enough. In their new home, Woods said he will be a few minutes farther from golf, but he and his wife will have more privacy, and they will have frontage on both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, a major appeal for both of them. Even for us right? Just close your eyes and imagine living in such superb atmosphere.

Well! I am sure there are more than enough articles documented about this supremo and need me no more to talk about them. But I just like the way he said of himself.. notable I guess...
--------------------------------
Twice during his professional career, deciding that the best golf swing in the world was no longer good enough for him and undertaking a renovation. In each case, the changes led to a lengthy period during which he won no tournaments at all, as he worked to make the new motions automatic. When asked why he hadn't been scared to tamper with success.

"I have a big-picture outlook," he said. "I am willing to fall, and I understand that it's OK to fall, but I am going to get back up. I may take a step back, but in the end I am going to take a giant leap forward."

"You have to come to grips with it, truly deep down," Woods said. "If you don't, if you second-guess yourself, you are not going to have the success that you want. You may have to put up with a lot of questioning from others, who don't quite understand—but, quite frankly, they don't have to understand, because it all comes from within. That's what it is for me, anyway: a belief that, in the end, I will be a better player.

HAPPY YEAR 2007!

Hi Guys! How are you doing? Great yeah! Alright, wishing you all the best for the year to come and let us wish the world safer, healthier and prosperous. My readership dropped for the past few days and I could only imagine that many of you are out having fun partying and shopping with your big fat bonuses huh!
And I would like to thank all of you my friends, my readers who sent me messages and season greeting through mobile, emails and the comments here. You have been great all this while and yea...I have many good starts for the year 2007 so far and I am sure all of us will have another fat-abulous.. uh! sorry!!!!!!!!!Fabulous Year together right!!!!

I am getting fatter by days as you can see and it's really a disaster. Nothing looks good on me. To get a good photo and show you guys a pleasant-in-the-eyes one, I tried posing from many angles. But I gave up and I decided to start running tomorrow. Not really a new year resolution but I really have to do something about my weight..Give me your supports..Won't you?

What did I do with my holidays? uh!!!!! Catching up with friends and out dining with my younger brother and went around town. And yeah! you wonder who is the guy here in these photos?
Remember I said I have many good starts for the year? Yeah meeting this guy is one of the good starts. Well..you might ask what so special about meeting this fat guy? Of course it's special. Alright let me introduce...He is " Khaing Bwa", my university mate and we are from the same State. And we did not see each other since we left YIT (Yangon Institute of Technology). It's like more than a decade and we did not know where about of each other till we met again here in Singapore.
Tell you we couldn't just stop asking about each other and our friends. We put up, put down the menu and it was like ..about 20 minutes later then we glanced at the menu and just picked whatever we saw on front page to order.

We laughed. We felt sad for those less fortunate friends. We envied those have better luck. We forgot our age. We forgot every thing else and we did not even talk about the food if they tasted good or bad..Ah!! of course we did finish all the food..So I guess it should be ok!! haha...
After our dinner, we walked around Singapore River and sitting by the river for about an hour again and talked.

Well.. yeah the time was clicking fast and we called it a day as we gotta get home to prepare for the next working day.. I just wish my dear friend good luck in getting approval soon from MOM for a work pass. So that we can catch up again and talk about the yester-years.

Good Luck my dear friend and I am sure we will be sitting by the river again and yeah with your family.
